Casa de Tanglewood is located in the expat community of Lagunas. The mountain community is 10 minutes trip north of the quiet beach down of Dominical, 35 km south of Manuel Antonio. Casa Tanglewood is a 3 hour drive through the beautiful Costa Rican mountains from the San Jose International Airport or available commuter service to Quepos or Palmar Norte.

The house sits on 2.4 acres, 1,150 feet above sea level overlooking the pacific ocean, and two valleys formed by several mountains in the surrounding area. One of the valleys consists of secondary rain forest with rich vegetation, streams, and small water falls. A public road descends into the rain forest 6 minutes or less by Quad. As a result of the nearby rainforest, the home is surrounded by interesting fauna, flora and wildlife.

The home itself features a true 360 degree view of the rain forests, mountain peaks and of course the ocean. The sunsets are absolutely striking, and simply must be seen to be appreciated, especially from January to June, before the rains arrive.

The property is gated, with the gate being remotely controlled, and includes a closed circuit camera, and two way wireless intercom. There is an inner as well as outer courtyard, providing excellent privacy and comfort. The property is adorned with fruit tress, exotic palms, toucan trees, and innumerable flowering shrubs throughout.

A breakfast nook, off the kitchen is ideally situated for early morning dining, listening to the birds flying overhead or to simply take in the rich vegetation of the inner courtyard while enjoying your morning coffee.

Casa de Tanglewood boasts approx. 3,200 of splendid living space, complimented by Mexican tile throughout, with neutral color latex paint on the walls and ceilings. All rooms feature sunken ceiling lighting, dimmer controlled, allowing for mood setting of your choice. There are two master suites (one king, one queen) and a third office/bedroom (with 2 twins/trundle) that can be used for large families. The living room, dining room, master bedroom and pool area features piped in music, allowing for great ambiance while entertaining. The entire home is air conditioned, including all hallways, stairways and landings. There is a view from every single window, either of the ocean, rainforest, mountains valleys or gardens. The views are unobstructed and give you a sensation of solitude, serenity and peacefulness, while at the same time getting in touch with Mother Nature. That's what life is supposed to be like...right!!??
