Casa Tropical is a three bedroom Costa Rican home on three quarters of an acre of mature gardens that has all the amenities for a perfect vacation. Situated in Manuel Antonio, one of the country's most beautiful and diverse areas for activities and five minutes from Manuel Antonio National Park and the port town of Quepos. Floor Plan 1 Floor Plan 2 Manuel Antonio offers some of the best beaches in the world and Quepos has all the amenities needed for diverse shopping, dining and night life. You can enjoy world class sport fishing, whitewater rafting, surfing, sea kayaking, horseback riding, waterfalls and abundant wildlife in the surrounding mountains and jungles. Sunset can be watched over the ocean and the 6,000 foot peak of San Geronimo tops off the mountain views to the north. There's a sparkling pool surrounded with jungle trees, which often have titi or white-faced monkeys, sloth's, iguanas and many kinds of bird life chattering overhead. The gardens contain hundreds of tropical plants and orchids, you can wander through or just observe from the many decks and flat rooftop overlook. There is a fully equipped kitchen and eight people can sleep comfortably in the three bedrooms: one king-size, one queen and one with a double and a set of bunk beds. There is 24 hr. security with a couple living on the property, taking care of the garden, pool and twice weekly maid service. Additional maid service, cooking and baby sitting can be arranged separately if desired. The owners of Casa Tropical lived in Costa Rica for 11 years and the house reflects their experience and delight in tropical living. The house has ten foot ceilings and opens completely to the outside covered terraces. There are good daytime breezes as well as overhead fans in all the rooms. The house is comfortable without being locked up with noisy AC. Much of the art work in the house was done by the owner and the garden is the result of many years of hard work and love. We have known Hannia and Claudio, the caretakers for many years, and our guests always comment on what wonderful people they are and what a good job they do maintaining the property, cooking and just being helpful. Unlike a lot of crowded "Instant Villas", popping up along the bustling main road, Casa Tropical is a wonderful quiet retreat, surrounded only by Jungle and an abundance of wildlife. We raised our daughters here and highly recommend the house for families. There is a wonderful hike to the top of a small mountain above our neighboring hotel that has 360 degree views of the entire coastline and mountain ranges. There are also numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance. There is a great selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, meats etc, in Quepos for creating your own feasts in the kitchen. There is a stereo with CD, cassette, and AM FM options from rock to classic, also a TV and VCR, with cable for those who must still have the news and sports.
