Tierra Magnifica is available to rent for families or groups. The entire 6 acre property becomes yours for your designated stay, providing you with a unique private vacation or meeting destination. Tierra Magnifica offers an exclusive, secluded get-away nestled in the treetops of the tropical dry forest featuring sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding mountains. Monkeys and exotic birds abound, assuring the experience of being "someplace else," while the white sand beaches and rolling waves call to beach-lovers and surfers. Sea turtles nest nearby and deep sea sport fishing is just moments away. All the eco-adventure and activities for which Costa Rica is famous are accessible from the property. Accommodations Information:

Tierra Magnifica offers luxurious bedrooms with private baths and jungle bungalow rooms sharing an open-air tropical bathroom with outside hot-water shower. All our rooms feature spectacular ocean views, AC, handcrafted furnishings, fine linens and wildlife all around.

Rancho Jungle Bungalow rooms, (smaller rooms)

             2 rooms with a full size bed in each, AC and balconies. These rooms share an open-air tropical bathroom and a half bath.

In the main villa there are 4 air conditioned bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens,1 with 3 twins); 3 full bathrooms plus one half bath. In addition to the villa, there are four separate, private cabinas each with queen size bed, air conditioning, and double French doors opening to spectacular views. The two Poolside Cabinas have private bathrooms with hot water shower, mini-fridge, coffee maker. The two Rancho Cabinas share a full bathroom and half-bath. The full bath features an exotic and private open-air hot shower overlooking the forest.

The main villa features two full kitchens (one on first floor, one on second floor). There are two large outdoor decks off the main villa (one on first floor, one on second floor) with dining tables and chairs overlooking the ocean, conducive to socializing and relaxed meals. The swimming pool with patio is ideal for entertaining and lounging. The 900 square foot "rancho" - an open-air pavilion made of natural woods in the traditional Costa Rican rustic style that juts out over the treetops, offers breathtaking views of the jungle and the Pacific. The rancho includes a kitchenette with a charcoal grill. This space is ideal for entertaining and hosting one-of-a-kind special events (weddings and family reunions).

The meals at Tierra Magnifica are considered one of the highlights of our guest experience. Our pool-side dining rancho and kitchen is designed to invite guests to join the cooking experience or sit back and take in the aroma while enjoying a refreshing beverage.

Our custom design menu always features fresh fruits, produce and meats, locally grown or caught off our shore prepared in the style you are craving. Our full-bar includes a fabulous selection of premium liquors, national beers, and fine wines from South America, Italy and Spain.

Wedding receptions, mile-stone anniversaries & birthdays, family reunions…..any moment in time that brings loved ones together should be uniquely celebrated in a style and manner that reflects your group’s spirit and personality. You dream it, and we’ll create it.

There are plenty of reasons to hang out at Tierra Magnifica and enjoy our services and amenities. We offer a full menu of Spa services, yoga/exercise classes, and just about any other type of class or service you might enjoy for your body, mind and spirit. Come on down to our Rancho and stretch your muscles and indulge your senses.

We also have our own nature trail and private waterfall with swimming hole where another world of wildlife awaits your discovery.

Then again, there are plenty of places around the pool and rooms to relax and enjoy your friends, the sun, the sounds of nature and the view!


Tierra Magnifica is located on the Nicoya Peninsula in the northwestern region of Costa Rica in the town of Nosara, an authentic Costa Rican village with friendly locals ready to assist you and help you enjoy your stay. In a country known for its enlightened approach to conservation, Nosara is one of the most enlightened villages. In addition to the requisite- 200 meters from the water - of country-wide government-designated environmental protection zone, there's an additional 50 meters of protected mangrove land. This keeps the beach front free of development, creating untouched, pristine beaches that are sparsely populated, even at high season. This and the surfer town atmosphere provide a laid-back, relaxed experience.

Peak Season, $20,500 (December 22nd - 29th & December 29th - January 5th, 2013)

Gold Season $12,500 January 3rd – April, 2012 - July and August

Green Season - $9,500 May and June, September - December 22nd, 2012

Rental is exclusively to one group at a time per week. Rates include daily maid service, breakfast, afternoon signature appetizers, on-site 24 hour staff and guest concierge, and security.
