Villa Buena Onda is a
luxurious experience that awaits you on Costa Rica's Golden Coast. The name,
meaning "good vibe", can be felt in the gentle flowing waters of the 2-tier
infinity pool and the warm ocean breezes that fill the home. The 7,000 square foot villa has a Mexican inspired facade with some exotic Balinese touches. The ambience is open and breezy and rooms are situated to maximize the stunning ocean views. Materials were selected to integrate the natural surroundings and are understated so as to focus guests’ attention on the incredible views and natural surroundings. The subdued earth tones were selected to calm the spirit and provide a sanctuary for wary travelers in need of a peaceful vacation. The owners did our best to weave elements of earth and water throughout the home, including river rock flooring inlays, exotic woods and Nicaraguan hand-made roof tiles. The large living space gives way to cozy nooks and seven private bedrooms, each with a balcony or patio that offer views of the blue ocean and sky, creating a feeling of calm and seclusion. In total there are seven guest
rooms. Three are located on the first floor and four on the second floor, all en
suite. All rooms enjoy ocean views, except Room 3, which looks out over the
gardens. The two corner suites on the second floor have oversized bathrooms with
ocean views and semi-open-air showers. Maximum occupancy is 23 guests. The swimming pool and lounge
area are over the top. For starters, local pool legend Joan Roca was hired (he
designed luxury swimming areas for many celebrity pleasure homes in Costa Rica,
including Giselle and Mel Gibson). The result was a gigantic infinity pool that
would be generous for most small hotels. An upper sitting pool with Jacuzzi jets
which gently cascades into a lower, larger pool. A small ledge behind the
waterfall provides a grotto sitting space where guests can let the water rush
over them with an added sense of privacy. The Villa was designed for your
comfort, from the construction materials to the furniture to the quality bed
linens. To make you feel even more at home the following amenities are offered:
A full-time chef will provide
all-inclusive fine dining, which includes three mouthwatering meals per day.
Snacks will also be served while you enjoy leisurely afternoons in the multiple
indoor and outdoor dining environments. A barman is on staff to serve up
icy beverages at any of our diverse bar atmospheres. A sports bar is located at
the wing of the main living area with by a large flat screen television -- the
perfect spot to catch the big game. The Concierge is on-site full
time to ensure that there is never a dull moment during your stay. They can
arrange any tour, transportation or excursion that you might desire. The villa
owners have their own full-service travel agency in San Jose and are experts in
planning any element of your Costa Rica vacation. Rates Unlike other "all-inclusive" villas a tailor-made menu and bar will be served exactly as you’ve requested. The villa rates are listed per person/per night (children are 6-11) Low Season --
Sep/Oct $149 per adult/day and $79 per child/day Rates are per person, per night and include 3 meals daily, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. Alcoholic beverages can be provided and chilled prior to arrival for a modest 10% cork fee. The staff believes this is superior to the “all-inclusive” model which encourages low-end liquor, stingy pours and punishes those guests who are not heavy drinkers and instead prefer to take your custom drink order prior to arrival. Whether you like champagne or Budweiser, the guest services team will have it ready and serve it to you ice cold. |
